Helping Jonah - Helping Others is a Registered Charity based in Guernsey (Channel Islands).
After battling Leukaemia in 2014, our son Jonah was then diagnosed with aHUS in 2015 - an ultra rare blood disorder. The medication required costs around £300k per annum.
Our Charity was set up in January 2016 to raise the much needed funds for the on-going medication required for Jonah for which the States of Guernsey no longer funded.
After a year on the medication, Jonah's Dr was so pleased with his progress that he decided to do a trial withdrawal to see if Jonah could cope without the medication. He now receives routine blood tests and checks to monitor his progress. We now continue to raise funds to "Help Others".
